Your ETR Insider

Early To Rise Insider
From The Desk of Laura Rodini Volume 1  |  Issue 4   |  March 2, 2010

Dear ETR Insider,

This has got to be the snowiest winter on record for the Northeast. My parents and brother live in Maryland, and they're bracing for yet another storm!

When I call to check up on them, our conversation eventually turns to my new home in Florida. I tell them about the palm trees swaying outside my window, and how "cold" here means low 50s.

They don't want to talk much after that!

I sure am lucky to live in "paradise" – I'm actually paying less in rent for an oceanfront condo than I did in Baltimore.

That's because the woman who owns it would rather have me live here year-round than rent it to snowbirds at a higher rate for a month or two.

Liberty Street League's Matthew Adams talks about a similar deal in this month's Liberty Street League newsletter. In fact, he's able to take advantage of this opportunity in order to live in some of the best cities in the world… completely rent free!

What's his secret?

It's easy, Matthew says, and all it takes is a trip or two a month to the local Home Depot.

"If you're a retiree or work from home, this is the perfect way to save money and live for a time in a unique location," Matt says.

He's got all of the details on how you can do it – including a dream list of properties you can live rent-free in from Vancouver Island to Hawaii – in this month's Liberty Street League newsletter.

You can get your copy of the Liberty Street League newsletter as soon as it's released later this week by clicking here.

Is Your Retirement a Ticking Timebomb?

I really like my job. What I like most about it is knowing that what I do helps hundreds of thousands of people grow – and protect – their wealth.

And as millions of baby boomers enter retirement, making sure they are properly prepared is top of mind.

That's why I asked Investor's Daily Edge Contributing Editor Steve McDonald to put together a webinar presentation on this critical subject. It's called "How to Avoid the Retirement Trap and Make Double What the Stock Market Returns Each Year."

Here's a sneak preview from Steve:

Steve's presentation will air on Tuesday March 9 – just about a week from now – at 4:00p.m. ET.  He's invited the rest of the experts at Investor's Daily Edge to weigh in on a roundtable discussion, too… that's how important we believe this is.

So if you're nearing retirement age, or are already retired and struggling to make ends meet as the dollar loses its value, or if your parents are nearing retirement and you're worried about how they'll manage, you definitely won't want to miss it. Sign up for Steve's special webinar presentation
here
.

On a personal note: I'm proud to say that I've worked with Steve for several years. He's a real class act – a veteran Navy pilot and former broker who's spent the majority of his career working with retired people. He's also the editor of The Bond Traderone of a handful of investment advisory services that can claim a near perfect track record (just one position closed at a loss) since September 2008! You can find out more about The Bond Trader here and I do hope you'll tune in to Steve's webinar.

It's Already #1 – and It Hasn't Even Been Published Yet

Congratulations to bestselling author and Early to Rise Contributor Harvey Mackay. His sixth book Use Your Head to Get Your Foot in the Door has already hit #1 on multiple Amazon book lists - and it wasn't even available in bookstores until today!

If you buy the book at Amazon before March 5, you'll also get a handy Rolodex networking book for free (a $12.95 value). It includes 20 pages of Harvey's MBA speech summarized in the Harvard Business Review. I keep mine right on my desk.

We're Doing Your Health "Homework" for You

In the premiere issue of Natural Health Confidential, due out later this month, our team of doctors and researchers reveal a special treatment for cardiac patients that can "supercharge" your heart – from a doctor who used it to save his own life!

Everyone who knows someone living with heart disease should read it.

If you sign up now for more previews on Natural Health Confidential – before we release it to the general public – you'll also get five special bonus reports.

It's a Doggie Dog World

One more thing before I sign off this week

Friday is "bring your dog into work day" here at Early to Rise

There's our graphic designer Erika holding Twinkie, a Chihuahua. Next to her is Kolby, a Border Collie mix, Brodie, a Shih-Poo, Buddy Kurrle, a Yellow English Lab, Pixel, a Min-Pin, and my Silky Terrier, George.

Ahem. Here's George:

Due to an unfortunate "incident" on the kitchen floor, then another at the water cooler, by my desk, in the hallway, and possibly on the ceiling, George was asked to work from home.

Which is fine by me – that means I get to go home for lunch!

Until next week,

Laura Sig

Sincerely,
Laura Rodini
COO, Early to Rise

PS Keep those guesses coming – I'll reveal the location of our 5 Days in July Internet-Business Building Conference next week!
